Mary and Steve have been residents here since 1979 and 1977 respectively.

Mary Thune was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. She is a graduate of Walsh College with an accounting degree.

Steve Thune was Born in Mitchell, South Dakota. The Thune name was associated with several pioneer hardware stores in South Dakota.

Thune True Value Hardware in Mitchell remains in business marking nearly 80 years of business. In 1977, Steve was transferred to Arizona as a territory sales rep for Teledyne Water Pik. He was honored as Salesman of the Year because he consistently topped US sales goals of Shower Massage and Water Pik.

Steve enjoys the mountain bike when time allows. He has found another hobby, playing trumpet in his church jazz and brass bands.
